With new tools launching every other week, the world of marketing is moving faster than ever and 2026 isnโ€™t slowing down. Itโ€™s getting harder and harder to keep up.

AI, algorithms, shrinking budgets and constant platform changes have marketers everywhere pulling their hair out. And when youโ€™re a team of one, itโ€™s easy to feel completely alone in the chaos, wondering if thereโ€™s ever going to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thatโ€™s exactly where this blog comes in. Weโ€™re here to share the best tools, communities, tricks, and tips so you can walk into 2026 feeling confident, supported and ready to tackle the year like the marketing pro you are.

Building Confidence

Many marketing managers in large organisations often feel out of their depth, but the truth is, youโ€™re not. Confidence plays a huge role in your influence and position within a company. When you project confidence in your decisions and strategies, it becomes much harder for others to dismiss your ideas. Marketing is the thread that runs through every business, yet many organisations overlook its importance. As a marketing manager, you have the power to change that.

Of course, building confidence is easier said than done. Here are some practical tips to get you started:

Invest in Public Speaking Training

Clear and confident communication helps others take your ideas seriously and positions you as a thought leader within your organisation.

Join a Supportive Community

Surrounding yourself with peers who understand your challenges can provide advice, perspective and encouragement. Keep reading to learn more about MINT, a community built for marketers like you.

Understand Other Departments

Communicate with teams like sales, design and administration to see how their work intersects with marketing. Building these connections strengthens your strategies and helps you gain allies across the business.

By taking these steps, you can grow your confidence, expand your influence and make a real impact in your organisation.

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome with Your Personal Brand

Many marketers struggle with imposter syndrome, feeling like they donโ€™t deserve a seat at the table in their organisation. Building a personal brand is a powerful way to overcome this. By confidently sharing your successes, you prove to yourself and to others that you belong at the table.

Both personal and business brands are tools for building trust, increasing visibility as an expert and humanising the business, an essential part of marketing. There are many ways to develop your personal brand:

Create a Professional Profile on Platforms like LinkedIn

Use it to highlight your achievements, showcase the impact youโ€™ve made for your business and engage with a relevant community.

Network Strategically

Join communities of other marketing managers or groups where you can meet your target audience. Face-to-face interactions are often far more memorable than an email.

Be Authentic

Authenticity differentiates you from others in your field, helping you stand out against competitors. People connect with genuine content, and the relationships you build can be invaluable.

If youโ€™d like more guidance on building your personal brand, we highly recommend You’re the Best!: How To Build an Authentic and Magnetic Personal Brand by Dee Blick. Jess joined AMM straight from her A-Levels as an apprentice and has never looked back! She is the baby of the office (and we love to remind her of that!!) Don’t let that fool you, though, she more than holds her own!

As our Marketing Apprentice, Jess gets stuck into absolutely everything, and she does it with the kind of energy that just makes it all more fun ๐ŸŒŸ She jumped straight in at the deep end and hasn’t come up for air since, and we love that about her!

Off the clock, Jess is basically living her best life at all times. You’ll find her in a pub garden soaking up the sun, on a spontaneous adventure somewhere in the world, or out on a run (can you tell we’re all into our fitness!?) ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Oh, and her pooch, Cally? Obsessed. And we get it ๐Ÿพ

She is also a massive F1 fan ๐ŸŽ๏ธ McLaren and Red Bull, before you ask, and she is NOT a glory hunter!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Jess loves dancing, laughing, exploring, and just saying yes to whatever comes next. And honestly, that spirit is exactly what AMM is all about!!
